Is this something that ever crossed your mind?
That instead of being a blogger, you could be a coach?
If I caught your attention and you’re curious about what it really takes to become a coach (and if it’s right for you!) keep on reading to learn 3 reasons why you should turn your blog into a creative coaching business!
Okay before we get started, back to my original question:
Has the thought ever crossed your mind that instead of being a blogger you could be a coach?
Yeah, the thought never crossed my mind either.
Until I realized my true passions + purpose in life.
And that I could use them to not only monetize my blog but turn them into an actual business.
I love learning, teaching, helping others, and building strong relationships with people.
And I really love working with ambitious and creative women who are ready to make an impact on this world doing what they love!
Just like me.
And that’s why I’m so happy that I found my path as a coach.
I started out as a blog coach and now I’ve shifted into the role of a business coach for new and aspiring entrepreneurs.
An Intuitive Business Coach and Strategist to be exact!
I know that a lot of you have the same passions, strengths, and skills as me. But I also know that many of you never thought that you could use those traits to become a coach.
Or that you can use the power of your blog to get your coaching business off the ground and running!
So with that said, I want to tell you that YES, it’s 100% possible for you to become a coach!
And the fact that you already have a blog + audience means you’re already a few steps ahead of someone starting from scratch.
Now, my goal for this post is to give you some more insight into what it takes to be a coach and if it’s right for you.
Let’s get started!!3 Reasons to Turn Your Blog into a Coaching Business Click To Tweet
1. YOU LOVE HELPING + TEACHING PEOPLE
Growing up I always associated the act of “teaching” with grade school teachers.
I never wanted to become a “teacher” because I didn’t want to work in an academic setting. The thought of maybe being a professor at a college seemed cool, but children or high schoolers?
But then I realized there are so many other ways to teach that don’t involve being a grade school teacher.
For instance, I was a trainer when I worked at Mc Donald’s. It was my job to teach new employees how to make sandwiches, run the cash register, or close up the store.
This applied to all my other jobs as well. I always ended up training the new people.
I didn’t realize until very recently that I was actually pretty good at showing people how to do things.
And that I explained things pretty damn well.
I mean have you ever tried to learn something from someone who was a zillion steps ahead of you? Did you really learn anything from them?!
As a coach, I do a lot of teaching.
My clients come to me not only for accountability, but because I’m a few steps ahead of them when it comes to blogging, email lists, marketing, and business.
They want me to teach them.
And if I don’t know the answer (which will happen and is totally okay!) I just look it up. Because remember, I love learning! You only need to be a few steps ahead of your ideal clients to be a coach...not an expert or ~guru~ Click To Tweet
So if you love showing people how to do things and are pretty good at explaining those things, coaching might for you.
If you love learning and looking up answers to questions you aren’t sure, coaching might be for you.
If you’re good at explaining complicated things in a simple and broken down way, coaching might be for you.
And not just helping people. You love watching them SUCCEED and reach their big dreams and goals!
2. YOU LOVE RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING
In my friend’s group over the years, I was always the person that introduced new people to each other.
I had different groups of friends and I always wanted us to get together and have one giant hang out sesh.
It wasn’t until recently did I realize that I love building relationships with other people. And also bring people together to forge their own relationships!
I mean, I’m even responsible for two of my friends falling in love with each other (who will probably get married soon!)
I’m just that good!
So let’s put this in terms of coaching. Obviously, you need to like working with people.
You also need to be able and wanting to hold long-term relationships with them.
If you sign someone on to work with you for the next three months, you better be excited about it, otherwise, you’re going to end up miserable!Coaching tip: Get really clear on who you serve and make sure they are your dream client! Click To Tweet
3. YOU’RE STRUGGLING TO MONETIZE YOUR BLOG
You’re motivated to turn your blog into something more than just a hobby…you’re ready to make some money!
And even turn it into a full-time income to support you and the lifestyle you desire to have.
But the problem is…the monetization methods you’re using aren’t really bringing in the cash flow.
I’m mainly talking about affiliate marketing and working with brands.
Look, I’ve been there.
I used to be a fashion blogger. I spent years trying to make money with affiliate links and landing cool gigs with brands, but I quickly realized that it was REALLY hard.
And that it didn’t make me happy.
When I realized I could make money through my blog by offering services, I felt like I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.Tired of not making a dime from your affiliate links or waiting on brands who have no budget for you? Read this. Click To Tweet
I love teaching. I love learning. I love researching. I love connecting with people who get me.
I could turn these skills into profit.
So here’s the thing: if you’re struggling to make money with your blog, look at the ways you’re trying to make money.
Not making a dime from your affiliate links? Getting replies from brands saying they have no budget? Created an eBook that isn’t selling?
Girl, coaching might be for you!
I mean, at least consider it and do a little research before you knock it.
Who knows, maybe coaching has been your calling all this time and you never knew it!
